Now that Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 is on PC we’re starting to see some amazing mods that’ll transform the game into pretty much whatever you like. One of the mods that’s caught our eye is the Red Dead Freecam, originally spotted by PCGamer.
Created by pro modders Evil Blunt and Three-Socks, the Red Dead Freecam will essentially free your game from the camera restrictions, allowing you full access to the game map from virtually any angle.
As you can see from some of these screenshots, this mod is an absolute must-have if you’re into your game photography. Download it for yourself over on NexusMods.
Earlier this year, one avid Red Dead fan and photography pro actually managed to sneak an in-game shot into Reddit’s pretty serious r/earthporn subreddit.
After a huge 5k of upvotes for his snapshot in a Red Dead forum, a user known as Gatsu30 went ahead and submitted it to the landscape photography group.
Not too surprisingly, the community of experts mostly recognised the image from RDR (or from the RDR subreddit) and left overt comments on the thread implying that the joke was up…but not before people were fooled by the fake pic.
One Redditor joked: “Just breathtaking. There are few, if any places like this left on earth. As if nature was left untouched since 1899.”
Another quipped: “i visited this place in October for some horseback riding and fishing. really beautiful. unfortunately the cold weather caused my lumbago to flare up so i had to cut my trip short.”
That’s what you get for playing hyper-realistic games in 2018 I guess!
