Red Dead Redemption 2 Is So Realistic It’ll Include Shrinking Horse Testicles

Red Dead Redemption 2 is undoubtably one of the year’s most highly anticipated games, boasting new and improved realistic graphics and gameplay features.

As a prequel to the first game, players will step into the shoes of outlaw Arthur Morgan a member of the Dutch Van der Linde gang. After watching the trailer fans were blown away by the updated approaches to classic features of the game, such as the Deadeye mechanic, and newer features – like the realistic nature of the game and its 200 (!) different species of animals.

While the storyline is currently up for debate, what’s clear is that the attention to detail in the title really does know no bounds, as it’s been confirmed that the in-game weather will affect the size of the horse’s testicles. No, we’re not kidding.

RockstarIntel has reported that the testicles on the horses will shrink during cold weather. It may not be something that everyone wants, but if you want to get the most immersive and realistic experience from the game that’ll do
it…

To the game’s credit it’s definitely a unique and unexpected feature. Plus, it’s not the only thing that Rockstar has made as realistic as possible. During the game, players will have the chance to see snowflakes actually melt on Morgan, as well as see mud dry, break, and fall away from his clothes. 10/10 for immersion!

If you’re a player who can move past the shrinking testicles of Morgan’s horse, you’ll be able to focus more on the relationship that you have with the animal. Throughout the game you’ll be able to develop the relationship between Morgan and his horse, but it all depends on the player’s treatment of it – you’ll be able to name your companion, teach it different tricks, and customise how it looks.

The horse isn’t the only customisable character, however, as players will be able to change Morgan’s weaponry and outfits, which will affect his mobility during gameplay.

Though details on the storyline are being kept quiet for the most part, Rockstar did give  Gamespot  a general outline for what the game will be saying: “After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee.

“With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive.

“As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him… Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age.”

Even though it is an odd feature, hopefully players will be able to live with the knowledge of the horse-testicle-shrinkage and focus on the fact that Rockstar has made a potentially amazing game. GOTY, perhaps…?

Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to release on the Xbox One and PS4 on Oct. 26
