Ever since the success of Resident Evil 2 Remake at the beginning of this year, gamers across the world have been asking one question of Capcom: when are we getting Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Remake?
It’s yet to be confirmed (or denied) by Capcom, but considering just how well 2 Remake was received, it would be a pretty silly move to not give Nemesis its own remake…

A new report is now suggesting that not only is Resident Evil 3 Remake in the works, but it’s actually coming as soon as next year. The rumour stems from VGC, who spotted a RE video by YouTube channel Spawn Wave.
Spawn Wave claims that RE3 Remake is happening via its own sources – something with VGC confirms aligns with what their own sources have told them.

Unfortunately we don’t know anything more than that right now, but with the engine built and lots of reusable assets, it’s not too much of a stretch to believe this could be true.
It’s not the first time we’ve heard a rumour like this either. Earlier this year, one industry insider claimed the game is in production. ResetEra moderator Dusk Golem commented on a Resi thread claiming that the third game in the franchise is already in development, which is definitely exciting to hear.

On the thread, which you can read in full here, Golem said at the time: “I’m keeping my lips sealed on anything else so don’t ask, but REmake 3 is in full development right now…“I think beyond that they’re waiting to see how REmake 2 and REmake 3 perform, but REmake 2 almost assuredly is going to perform well.”
Considering that Resident Evil 2 Remake has been a pretty heavy hitter in the nominations at The Game Awards 2019, it’s looking more likely than ever that Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Remake will happen…
