The upcoming Resident Evil movie reboot has had its release date seemingly leaked by production company Constantin Film.
Thanks to the eagle eyes of the Biohazard Declassified crew it seems that the Resident Evil movie reboot has a tentative release date of September 2021.
The release date was noticed after the production company handling the reboot, Constantin Film, updated its website and as a result the release date of September 9th 2021 was seen.
This tentative release date could of course change in an instant but it’s still nice for fans looking forward to the Resident Evil reboot that it aims to release later in 2021.
In fact it’s very likely that the COVID-19 pandemic will further halt plans, but with this movie reboot already looking to be quite promising, it’s exciting news nonetheless.
In related Resident Evil reboot news, recent images of the Orphanage that featured in 2019’s Resident Evil 2 remake were shared by Resi fansite Biohazard Declassified.
Further images were shared from another Resi fansite Residence of Evil, featuring a set of the movie with the interior of the infamous Spencer Mansion, a location previously used in 2019’s It: Chapter Two.
I know we’ve been burned way too many times from video game-to-movie adaptations but with the signs of the Resident Evil movie reboot already looking to be quite promising, I can’t help but feel at least a little bit excited.

It’s an interesting time for movies right now. Warner Bros. recently announced plans to releasing its entire 2021 movie catalogue on both streaming service HBO Max and in cinemas simultaneously.
The Warner Bros movie slate includes the likes of Mortal Kombat, Dune, Godzilla vs. Kong, The Conjuring 3 and more, with Wonder Woman ’84 finally releasing this month.
