“When is the game out?!” I hear you ask. “How long do I have to wait?!” I hear you yell. Well… not long at all it turns out. On May 7, 2021 you’ll be able to play Resident Evil Village in all its glory on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Oh and don’t worry if you don’t have a new-gen console or a gaming PC. Capcom have you covered.

It’s also been announced that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One!

That’s not all though. There’s a demo for the game and it’s out TODAY… but only on PlayStation 5. Do not fear though because a new demo will be coming in the Spring for other platforms!

The demo is not a snippet of Resident Evil Village. Called The Maiden the game takes place at a different time to the events that occur with Ethan in Village. It will feature no combat There will no doubt be some things that tie into the main game though.

This kind of demo was a tactic we saw from Capcom leading up to the release of Resident Evil 7. We got to experience a teaser of what to expect from Resident Evil 7 and a small glimpse at some of world and characters within it. It was a demo that I played repeatedly on the hunt for secrets. If the demo for Resident Evil Village is even half as good then it should be a treat for horror fans.

You can watch the full showcase below and read more about it here.
