Rumour: PlayStation 5 Games Reveal ‘Coming Next Week’

The PlayStation 5 is due to drop in a matter of months, and though we know the specs of the meaty machine, we know next to nothing about its games. Thankfully, it seems as though that’s about to change, as the rumour mill says the PS5 games reveal is coming next week.

The news comes from video games industry insider and Bloomberg writer, Jason Schreier. According to the writer, Sony is aiming for Wednesday, June 3 as a reveal date for some PS5 games, though he does acknowledge that this is subject to change.

The timeline makes sense, as a PS5 event has been teased for a while now. It’s rumoured that we won’t be seeing anything about the price of the PS5, but hey, just seeing some next-gen games would be great!

In related news, the next addition of the Official PlayStation Magazine has confirmed a whole bunch of games coming to the PlayStation 5. Titles including The Elder Scrolls 6, Starfield and Watch Dogs Legion appear on the list, alongside the previously-unannounced surprise reveal of The Sims 5.

The news comes via PSU, where it’s reported that the following games will be headed to PS5:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Battlefield 6
  • Chorus
  • Dauntless
  • DiRT 5
  • Dragon Age 4
  • Dying Light 2
  • FIFA 21
  • Gods & Monsters
  • Madden NFL 21
  • NHL 21
  • Outriders
  • Rainbow Six Quarantine
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Starfield
  • The Elder Scrolls 6
  • The Sims 5
  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
  • Watch Dogs Legion

As you can see from the list, Sony is keeping VERY quiet about its first-party titles for the console, so hopefully we’ll get some tasty reveals next week. Horizon Zero Dawn 2 is looking to be a safe bet, and we’re still hoping to hear more on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which is rumoured to be in development.

Hopefully June 3 will be the day!
