Talking about your mental health has never been so important, and mental health charity Safe in Our World is working to get those in the video games industry and beyond to start the conversation.
Earlier this week, Safe in Our World announced the #LevelUpMentalHealth initiative, a global campaign with the aim of rallying the video games industry to support those affected by mental health issues.
In a press release, the charity explains: “The #LevelUpMentalHealth campaign seeks to challenge the video games industry to unite and commit to positive change, starting with workplaces, ensuring working environments are always safe and supportive of the mental health of its talent.”
You can find out more about Safe in Our World and the #LevelUpMentalHealth campaign in the video below, narrated by the voice of The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia (who just so happens to be a Safe in Our World ambassador).
Safe In Our World’s partners in the games industry include the likes of 505 Games, Curve Digital, Mediatonic, Renaissance PR, UKIE and Wired Productions, just to name a few.
Leo Zullo, Chairman of Safe In Our World said of the new campaign: “We’re beyond proud to see so much support for our cause from the industry, but now it’s time to turn that support into action. The #LevelUpMentalHealth campaign will form a major part of our activities now and in the future.”
Safe in Our World isn’t just here to help those in the industry though, as their website is filled to the brim with clinically-approved advice, tips, toolkits and stories to help you find your feet if your mental health isn’t at its best.
