A ‘Saw’-related Halloween event may be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone if a new leak is to be believed.
The rumours comes from known Call of Duty leaker ModernWarzone on Twitter, who took to the platform to share something they’d uncovered in the game files. According to the user, the datamined details are related to the upcoming Haunting in Verdansk event, an event which we know little about, but that has already been announced by Activision.

ModernWarzone shared an image of their find, which references the “Phlebotomist.” According to the image, the Phlebotomist will be a “retrievable knife that is lethal on impact. Note: This equipment can be obtained from the Saw Bundle when available in the store.” It’s believed that this could be a reference to the Saw movies, at least one of which you’ve almost definitely seen in your lifetime.
As any type of Saw Event has yet to be confirmed by Activision, take the rumour with a grain of salt for now!
How exactly a potential Saw Event might tie into Halloween in Verdansk remains to be seen, but I’m definitely intruigued!
The Halloween Call of Duty event was announced last month with the launch of Season Six of both Warzone and Modern Warfare.
With the new season of content came a roadmap of what we’ll be seeing in the future – including reference to a Halloween CoD event.
Haunting of Verdansk has been confirmed to be coming October 20, and will run through until November 3rd.
According to what’s been revealed so far, the event will include “New Limited Time Modes, Rewards and more!”
Could this be a Saw movie event, or just something else relating to saws? Let’s hope we find out sooner rather than later!
