After first having been announced years ago, Skull and Bones release date might have leaked ahead of an official confirmation.
It seems like no matter what Ubisoft does, Skull and Bones can’t get to stable waters. The pirate game was first announced in 2017, and we’ve hardly seen anything of it since then. Though last month, we did see some alpha gameplay leak online, but we still haven’t had an official re-reveal.
And now, it seems like Skull and Bones might finally have a release date, thanks to a recent link. As reported by Aggiornamenti Lumia, who has reported on listings added to the Xbox and Windows stores prior to them being public, Skull and Bones release date will supposedly be November 8, 2022 (thanks, VGC). This was also verified by Tom Henderson, also known for being quite the leaker.
what else has leaked?
On top of this, Aggiornamenti Lumia shared some pre-order bonuses. These included a couple of missions, a “Smuggler Pass Token,” a digital soundtrack and artbook, and a premium bonus pack.
Henderson also claimed in a report last week that Ubisoft is planning to re-reveal Skull and Bones at the beginning of July. Supposedly it will be some time during the week of July 4. Details are currently vague on what form the re-reveal will take.
But according to Henderson’s sources, the release date will be confirmed, alongside an official gameplay reveal, as well as other details. So if that November 8 release date is real, and Henderson’s report is accurate, it won’t be too far off until we know for certain.
The game also recently received a rating in Brazil, on PC, Stadia, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. So while it was revealed during the last-gen era, it sounds like it will be a new-gen only title. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what comes of it.
