A leaked screenshot suggests that The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Skyrim Anniversary Edition was released for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox towards the end of 2021. Unfortunately, despite Skyrim’s release for the Switch in 2017, the Anniversary Edition did not arrive on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
What’s that all about?
As reported by Game Rant, the South American website “Switch Brasil” discovered a listing on the Taiwanese rating board, suggesting that the Skyrim Anniversary Edition is headed to the Nintendo Switch.
Interestingly, that listing was quickly removed, but now before Switch Brasil was able to grab a screenshot. That being said, this listing could have been an error, so we should take it with a pinch of salt.
Nintendo fans have been left wondering why Skyrim on the Switch was not upgraded to the Anniversary Edition. So, it would be nice if this version of Skyrim arrived on Nintendo’s console.

You can go fishing!
Sure, there will be no visual or performance improvements for the Switch version. However, it would mean that Switch players would gain access to 500 Creation Club mods bringing new quests, dungeons, weapons, spells and more. Oh, and they will be able to go fishing too.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now over a decade old, having originally been released in November 2011. In it, you play as ‘Dovahkiin’ – the Dragonborn – on a quest to save the realm of Skyrim from the return of evil dragons. It was met with overwhelming critical acclaim, and has sold over 30 million copies as of 2016.
Hopefully, if this leak is genuine, Bethesda might offer an update in the near future.
