This App Makes Your Daily Routine More Like A Skyrim Quest

A Skyrim fan has made a quest log style to-do list app to help people complete real world tasks.

For a lot of players, the sheer amount of stuff there is to do in RPGs can be a bit overwhelming. After all, some of these games can last hundreds of hours in side quests alone. But that’s honestly nothing compared to the daily quests we have to experience in the real world like your weekly shop or hanging your clothes up to dry.

Thankfully, a user on Reddit has shared a Skyrim quest log style app that lets you “gamify your routine by turning regular tasks into quests.” Users of the app can note down different tasks they have to complete, turning them into quests. The best part of the app is how much it’s like Skyrim’s quest log.

what’s the app like?

For one, it uses the same fonts that Skyrim does in its various menus. And secondly, it uses sounds and animations from the original game, to really add to that Skyrim feel. Users can get notifications to remind them of their various tasks (sorry, quests) depending on what time they set.

Other users on Reddit were quick to compliment the impressive app. One user even noted how their partner writes down ‘quests’ in a Skyrim-like style, to make chores a bit more fun. There were plenty of users also requesting various features, like a widget on Android. Which is apparently already being worked on.

It’s a very cool app, and one that will add a bit more fun to daily, monotonous tasks.

Recently, someone has taken it upon themselves to remake Skyrim using Unreal Engine 5, and it looks seriously good. So far it’s just for Riverwood Village, one of the many locations in the game, but if The Elder Scrolls 6 looks even half that good we’re in for a treat.
