If you’re a die-hard PlayStation gamer then chances are you’ve had your PSN username for a pretty long time, which means it’s likely you might have grown out of it by now.
Whether you’ve got yourself stuck with a pretty ‘gangstaa’ name, or whether you’ve got xX-oNeLiKeThIs-xX, it’s safe to say there’s some pretty dire usernames in the world of PlayStation.
Luckily, if you’ve been dying to change your username without losing all your stats, it appears Sony might be planning to give you the option…
PushSquare is reporting that a survey has been sent out by Sony, which asks people for their opinions on being able to change their user IDs.
Interesting!
In an email leaked to PushSquare, the survey apparently asks whether “gamers are interested in the feature or not,” and also stresses that “can’t be sure whether this feature will be added or not, but we can be sure your opinions on the matter will be heard.”
Check out the leaked email below and let us know what you think about the proposal.
According to the leaked email, Sony is toying with the idea of having users able to change their names – free of charge – multiple times, but only once every six months.
On a GameSpot forum, gamers discussed some of the worst usernames they’d ever seen when playing online, with some of the best efforts including “splooge69,” “xXx_MW2_G0D_xXx,” “manlybeard235” and “DigBick.”
