A talented Speedrunner has completed Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice blindfolded in just over four hours. Talk about impressive!
As reported by Eurogamer, the Speedrunner in question is Twitch streamer Mitchriz, who clocked up the impressive time of four hours, 35 minutes, and thirteen seconds. Blindfolded!
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is quite a different game from other FromSoftware titles such as Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne, however, it doesn’t make it any less of a challenge. Sekiro is very much just as challenging as the Soulsborne series in its own way.
So, finishing any game belonging to FromSoftware is an achievement in itself, but to finish one blindfolded is next-level shinobi.

Mitchriz used techniques to navigate through the world of Sekiro blindfolded by using environmental audio cues. As well as counting steps and even slashing a blade until it hits a wall. By slashing a wall, Mitchriz was able to detect a change of position, and he would go from there.
With this being a FromSoftware title, Mitchriz couldn’t finish Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice without dying, but we’ll let him off. You’re welcome.
When the blindfold run neared its end, the use of audio cues would be especially paramount when it came to defeating the final boss. Mitchriz would listen out for attacks, parries, and special abilities. You can watch the moment when Mitchriz defeats the final boss here, but be cautious of spoilers.
