A Speedrunner has smashed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ‘Masterpieces’ demo in less than just five minutes. Impressive!
In some cases, a speedrun might be performed on a general retail release. However, in this instance, the speedrun record was set playing a Masterpieces demo of 2005s Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii.

Defeat Ganon has been done in the Super Smash Brothers Brawl OoT Masterpiece demo!
This route is MUCH harder than the credits warp route, allowing only about 10 seconds of wiggle room over the length of the 5 minute demo timer.

Masterpieces were essentially demos that were included in some Nintendo titles, in this case, it was Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The Masterpieces demos would include a selection of classic games that players could try out, such as Ocarina of Time

The Masterpieces demos would have a time limit, however, unlike traditional demos, they would in most cases include the full game. Though I think it’s fair to say that when this demo was released in 2005, Nintendo probably did not think that someone would complete Ocarina of Time in its entirety.
However, one such Speedrunner is Savestate who completed the demo in four minutes and fifty-one seconds, just in time for the end credits to roll. If you are familiar with how most speedruns work, players will use glitches and exploits to cut out large chunks of the game.
A Link too Fast!
So naturally, Savestate has missed out on the vast majority of Ocarina of Time during this run, but it’s impressive nonetheless seeing this huge game “completed” in record time.
As reported by Game Rant, Savestate said that this Masterpieces demo includes two pre-loaded save files. One save file for adult Link and another for young Link. Both save files contained all the necessary items for Savestate to perform the warp glitch so that they could jump straight to the end credits.
