The zombie shooter genre is one we hope never dies, and it could be that the best is yet to come. Upcoming Steam release, No More Room in Hell 2, is already sounding like it’s ready to take co-op shooters to the next level as you fend off hordes of the undead with the help of your pals.

Coming to Steam Early Access at some point in the future, No More Room in Hell 2 is the sequel to the 2011 award-winning Source mod that a lot of you will already be familiar with.
Developed by Lever Games, the title will feature eight player co-op “against hordes of the undead who feel no pain and will stop at nothing to get you.”

The multiplayer’s “open and non-linear maps” will be stacked with “many randomized and dynamic elements,” giving you a different experience each and every time you play.
Although we don’t yet have a release date for the Early Access game, we are promised two “very different” maps will be available at launch: Brooklyn Heights (New York City) and Night of the Living Dead (Rural Pennsylvania).

No More Room in Hell 2 will also launch with a “Zombie sensory system.” The system promises that the game’s three zombie types will react to sound, smell and sight, which each having their own strongest sense. Infection rate is also something you’ll have to contend with, though how that will look remains to be seen.
If No More Room in Hell 2 is calling your name, you can wishlist it on Steam right now!
