Not quite!

Taxi Chaos Isn’t Quite The Crazy Taxi Romp You Were Hoping For

Taxi Chaos is a game that looks incredibly similar to classic arcade game, Crazy Taxi, which originally released in 1999 before arriving on the SEGA Dreamcast in 2000.

Taxi Chaos is developed by Team6 Game Studios, who has seemingly created a lot of taxi-themed video games in the past.

If you’re a fan of SEGA’s Crazy Taxi, there’s no escaping that Taxi Chaos is Crazy Taxi in disguise. Actually scratch that, Taxi Chaos isn’t even trying to hide the fact that it’s trying to be Crazy Taxi.

The official description of Crazy Ta…sorry, Taxi Chaos says that the game is a “completely fresh and modern take on the old-school classic taxi games.

You will explore the fictional location of New Yellow City, pick up fares and drop them off in the fastest, most reckless way possible to earn top dollar from the paying customer.

The faster you arrive at the customer’s designated location, the more tricks you pull off along the way, and the more destruction you cause will earn you some big bonus tips from your clients.

Taxi Chaos will have a variety of modes such as Arcade Classic mode, Freeroam, and Pro Mode which will ramp-up the challenge for the player.

I know that it seems like I’ve been a little harsh on this game, but there’s no denying that Taxi Chaos is a blatant take on Crazy Taxi, a game that my wife and I used to play endlessly back in the day.

I suppose when you consider that there are no signs of the real Crazy Taxi arriving on consoles anytime soon, Taxi Chaos might be the next best thing, right? Well…maybe not quite yet. The game launched to pretty mediocre reviews.
