The Avengers: Endgame Running Time Has Finally Been Revealed

It’s going to be one of the best movies in history – Avengers: Endgame is nearly here and the running time has just been revealed.

In the build up to the highly-anticipated climax to the Infinity Saga, we’ve heard a lot of rumours about the huge running time of Avengers: Endgame. In fact, there was even talk of a mid-film interval due to it being so long.

Well, we now finally have the official word on that illusive number and it seems there was truth to the rumours.

The running time was confirmed on the official AMC website and shared on Twitter by MCUComics.com founder Jeremy Conrad.

AMC has update their website with the official synopsis for #AvengersEndgame and lists the runtime as 3 hours, 2 minutes.” The tweet read.

Despite the length, the directors have no worries about keeping their audience captivated with what is the biggest release in Marvel’s history.

Speaking to Collider about the screenings, Joe Russo said: “We’re still at the three-hour mark. I think the studio is down with what the best story is.

“Again, this is a culmination film of 22 movies, it’s a lot of storytelling to work into it. Emotion is an intrinsic part of that to us. When you have to tell a really complicated story and you want strong emotional moments with the characters, it just requires a certain amount of real estate. This one, in particular, feels like three hours worth of real estate.”

According to co-writer Stephen McFeely, very early in the process Thanos’ Snap wasn’t set to happen until the second film. “We had so much story in those early drafts of Infinity War that, if anything, we thought we maybe shouldn’t do The Snap until the end of act one of Endgame,” he said.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in UK cinemas on 25 April.
