Callisto Protocol doesn’t shy from its inspiration

It’s pretty obvious we know, but this sci-fi space horror doesn’t shy away from the fact that it’s heavily inspired by Dead Space. In fact, it seems to proudly wear its inspiration on its sleeve.

In the new three-minute gameplay trailer, we’re introduced to a deadly new enemy type, simply known as “mutations”. Moreover, this is an enemy that if not disposed of quickly enough, will regenerate and make you its next victim.

We’re loving the brutality of The Callisto Protocol

The gameplay trailer also ends quite gruesomely, which appears to be a common trend in recent reveals. However, we’re not complaining and we think you’re going to love it to bits.

Dead Space is being developed by EA’s new Motive Studio and is being built from the ground up for the new generation of consoles and PC.

Furthermore, the Dead Space remake is currently scheduled to release on January 27th for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
