Remakes and remasters have never been as popular as they are right now, but we’re still (STILL!) waiting for Capcom to announce that its classic survival horror, Dino Crisis, is getting the current-gen treatment.
In lieu of an official Dino Crisis remake, a group of incredibly talented gamers have been hard at work on making their own version, and it’s finally gotten its own dinosaurs.

Earlier this year we reported on Team Arklay, who’s using Unreal Engine 4 to remake everyone’s favourite dinosaur horror game. Despite the project being in its infancy back in July, it’s already gotten a whole lot scarier as the giant antagonists have just stomped their way into the title.
In the latest trailer for the game [via PCGamer] you can see the first outing of not only the main character Regina, but also some dinos. Of course the game is still in development, and by a small team of fans no less, so a few bugs in the footage is to be expected.
Check out the video below.
In the video description Team Arklay writes: “Here we leave you a teaser trailer of the new appearance of Regina and the Raptors. We are working to show you the first gameplay. Soon we will upload more content of the project.”

It’s probably going to be a long time before the project reaches a playable state for the public, but with a little luck it’ll hopefully get there sooner rather than later. Let’s all just join forces and pray that Capcom doesn’t swoop in and crush this dream with its legal team before then…

Whether or not we’ll get an official rerelease or remake of Dino Crisis remains to be seen, but here’s hoping. Following the success of Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 Remake earlier this year, there’s no better time than the present for Capcom to revisit some of its older IPs!
