You can play a demo of The Good Life on Xbox now – and it will be released on the console on 15 October alongside an Xbox Game Pass launch.
We recently wrote about the release date for the crowd-funded game. We knew The Good Life was going to be out on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One when it was launched – but the demo for Xbox is here now!
The Good Life was developed by Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro – often known as Swery or Swery65. You may know him as the weird guy who developed Deadly Premonition. It’s been a long road for the game to get here – but backers can start the two week countdown now!
But the game’s protagonist, Naomi Haywood, has travelled from New York to solve a mystery and (hopefully) pay off her debts. The surreal, body-transformation game prompts Naomi to explore the sweet little town of Rainy Woods, taking photos and investigating. But all is not as it seems…
“Upon beginning her investigation, Naomi – camera in hand – soon discovers an inexplicable phenomenon in which the townspeople transform into cats and dogs as night falls… Then, as just she’s looking into that particular mystery, a murder occurs… Join her as she attempts to reveal the truth about Rainy Woods.”
Check out the trailer – and watch out for Naomi’s transformation:
As reported by Game Informer, the demo for The Good Life is out on Xbox and also on Steam.
