The Mandalorian Season 3 gets its first trailer

A new trailer for season 3 of The Mandalorian has been officially revealed by Disney.

The trailer teases what’s to come in season 3 of The Mandalorian. It’ll follow off from season 2, where we got to see a young Luke Skywalker make his return on our screens.

Season 3 is already promising a whole new adventure for our favourite helmeted hero. Pedro Pascal will return as Din Djarin, and he’ll be joined by Grogu again. If you watched The Book of Boba Fett, you’ll know that Grogu has returned to Djarin’s side following his training with Luke.

It also looks like it’ll be dealing with the consequences of Mando removing his helmet. In season 2, Din Djarin removed his helmet – something the Mandalorians are forbidden to do. The trailer ominously states that by removing his helmet, he is a “Mandalorian no more.”

Mando’s future

Speaking to IGN, The Mandalorian director Rick Famuyiwa confirmed that season 3 will deal with the consequences of that decision.

Famuyiwa said “There are obviously repercussions that come from the decisions we make. He made a decision for The Child which will continue to reverberate. So part of that is gonna be explored during the season. But a father will do anything for their child. A father in the moment really wanted to do the best for their child, and now they have to live with the consequences.”

It seems that season 3 may see Djarin heading to Mandalore to cleanse himself of his shame after the helmet removal. Either that, or he will make his own path. We’ll have to wait and see.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ exclusively in 2023.
