The New Resident Evil Movie Looks Very Faithful to the Games

The new Resident Evil movie was officially revealed in October this year. It’s going to be a reboot and will have nothing to do with Paul W.S. Anderson movies starring Milla Jovovich.

Instead, Constantin Film will be in charge of the production. Johannes Roberts will be brought in as the writer/director.

Video game to movie adaptations haven’t had the best of times on the silver screen. Time and time again we’ve heard that these adaptations will be faithful to its source material… But more often than not our hopes and expectations have been burned to the ground.

On-Set With the Resident Evil Movie

Our hopes are rising-up like a zombie from the dead. The on-set videos and images that are being shared for the Resident Evil movie are looking great!

Biohazard Declassified shared a video confirming the 18-wheeler that we see during the iconic and opening cut-scene of Resident Evil 2 will be making an appearance.

The question is will the driver make the famous quote of “That guy’s a maniac! Why’d he bite me?!”

They also shared on-set images that reveal faithful recreations of the Raccoon Police Department, both inside and out.

Who Are The Cast?

According to Deadline Donal Logue (Gotham) is playing the dastardly Chief of Police, Brian Irons.

Donal Logue will now be joining the cast of Kaya Scodelario (Claire Redfield), Robbie Amell (Chris Redfield), Hannah John-Kamen (Jill Valentine), Aven Jogia ( Leon S. Kennedy), Tom Hopper (Albert Wesker) and Neal McDonough (William Birkin).

Marina Mazepa shared an Instagram post showing a video all about the process of creating a head-cast for the movie.

Eagle-eyed fans have spotted the tags in the post. You might recognise one that reads Lisa Trevor. She was a poor soul that was abducted by Umbrella. As a result of cruel experimentations, she mutated into a horrific creature that made an appearance in the Resident Evil remake from 2002.
