The Witcher 3 Loads Too Quickly on Xbox Series X

A video has appeared online that shows off the super-fast loading speeds of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Xbox Series X.

In fact, the loading times of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are so fast the Xbox Series X struggles to keep up with it. This is due to the consoles 1TB SSD.

What’s even more impressive is that the video showcasing the super-fast load-times hasn’t even been optimised for the next-gen console. This is just the basic Xbox One backwards compatibility version, so we’re excited to see what it can do at full capacity!

In the video, we see the world map before the players select the fast-travel spawn point. Before Geralt of Rivia has even loaded into his new location, you can see that the game is struggling to load-in the environment in-time.

The video makes it look as if the game struggles with texture pop-ups which isn’t really the case. This is down to the fact that the loading-times of the Xbox Series X are so incredibly fast1

Back in September, Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt would be coming to next-gen consoles in 2021.

Not only will this next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt be optimised to have even faster loading-times then we’ve seen in this article, but it will also have boosted ray-tracing visuals.

Best of all! Those that own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will get a free next-gen upgrade.

Recently following the latest delay of Cyberpunk 2077 it was reported that the developers at CD Projekt Red were on the receiving end of death threats from disgruntled fans.
