Sometimes in video games one gun just isn’t enough. Sure, dual-wielding existing, but what if two guns isn’t enough? Well, that’s where RAYKA comes in, a free FPS which allows you to wield a whopping eight guns at once.
From Warp Door [via Kotaku], the game has been developed by Voxel who created the title for the recent Kajam game jam. While it’s a relatively short experience, it’s a heck of a lot of fun, especially if you happen to like chaos and power in your gameplay.
“The age of circle strafing returns in RAYKA, made for the 9th Kajam gamejam!” says the game’s description.
“Fight through three low resolution pixelly levels in this authentic raycasting blaster! Collect eight* weapons and fight various enemies!“
As you work your way through the three levels of RAYKA, you’ll pick up more and more weapons until you reach your dual-dual-dual-dual-wielding final form. It’s silly, it’s fun and it’s very addictive. You’ll likely be left wanting more, which is why it’s a little sad to see the game is as short as it is.
However, showing RAYKA the love it deserves will hopefully mean the developer will continue to work on the game. So far, it’s pretty special!
