Let’s admit it, we’re probably not getting Half-Life 3 anytime soon but that doesn’t mean we can’t still have fun with the iconic Half-Life 2. It’s one of the best games for modding, and thanks to the Jurassic Life team, it’s ready to become one of the best dinosaur games imaginable.

Jurassic Life is the fan-created Half-Life 2 mod that was thought to be dead, but the project has recently been revived by its developers and it’s even got itself a fancy new trailer [via DSO Gaming].
Set in the Jurassic Park world, the game’s development has been on hold for nearly four years, but it looks like it’s set to make its return with a vengeance.

Check out the latest announcement trailer for Jurassic Life below.
In the description for the video, the JL team writes: “Hello! After a bit of hiatus these past few years, we have returned together to finish off a story 65 million years in the making.
“In Jurassic Life, you play game warden Robert Muldoon who was hired to keep order in the quite extraordinary Jurassic Park, located on Isla Nublar. Our story is not strictly based on the movies or novels but rather our own tale with inspiration gathered from the world of Jurassic Park. If you wish to be a part of it and speed up the development please let us know.”

You may have noticed there’s not yet any dinosaurs shown in the new materials, but all good things come to those who wait.
Sadly for us dinosaur fans, there’s no timeframe in mind for the mod’s release. It’s a safe bet to say it’s coming later rather than sooner. This is definitely one to keep an eye out for though!
