Are your fondest childhood memories of wandering through the aisles of your local Blockbuster?
Do you sorely miss that oh-so-special Friday Feeling of picking out the latest Nintendo 64 game to take home for the weekend?
Are your legs no longer hurting from dashing back to the shop on time to prevent being fined for a late games return?
If you’ve answered yes to any of the questions above, then we’ve got the perfect thing for you.
eBay seller, Gvaughn98, is selling a whole video game business for $94,000 – which is actually pretty reasonable if you really think about it, and it’s giving us all the nostalgia.
The seller writes: “We have a video game business for sale. Includes all the game systems, huge variety of games including Mario, Kirby, Donkey Kong, and other great classics.
“A customer base has already been established in this location with many recurring customers. The computer system, specialized for video game retail stores, is also included.
“Our expected monthly sales goes from $11,000-$15,000 leading up to Christmas, and $30,000-$40,000 in December. We are located in Orange County, please contact for more information.”
It’s not clear from the listing whether this is a rental shop, or if it just deals in straight sales, but from some of the pictures there are definitely a few games in the store’s catalogue that we wouldn’t want to hand over to someone!
It could be pretty perfect for either – as long as you don’t mind tackling the very competitive industry of selling games.
The photos included in the listing definitely have us yearning for the sadly-missed-but-never-forgotten days of video rental, whatever the lucky person who wins decides to do with the space.
Who knows, maybe one gamer out there is after a new fully-kitted-out play area, because this couldn’t be more perfect as an XXL gaming room.
Does anyone have a spare $94k…?
