The developers of hentai title Mirror are giving away their game for free on Steam – if you’re a resident of Wuhan, the Chinese city at the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.
In the hopes of keeping its residents safe in their homes, KAGAMI WORKs is doling out copies of the game to keep people busy during the deadly outbreak. Whether or not a hentai game is the best way to do that…well, the jury’s out on that one.
Announcing the news on its (NSFW) Steam page, the developer writes: “To avoid the nCov, it’s better to stay at home. So we decide to give away 160,000 copies of Mirror to keep you company. Please accept our gift and stay strong!”
They also went on to add some virus-prevention advice, telling gamers: “I’m sure you’ve read this before but we’re still going to emphasize this again: Please avoid going out, if you must, please keep your mask on at all time. Please avoid getting physical contact with other people and stay away from the crowd. Please wash your hands as many times as you can.”
You can claim a free download by entering your phone number, proving you really are in Wuhan.
If you haven’t played Mirror, the game description reads as follows: “It is said that there is a magic mirror, which is closely related to the destiny of numerous beautiful girls.
“If you obtain it, you will be able to walk into the world of the beauties and experience a magnificent journey.”
Mirror sports “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews from users, so there’s definitely a lot of people out there who’ve been having fun with it.
