A new Tomb Raider collection, entitled The Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy, has been leaked on the Microsoft store according to PSU.

The collection will reportedly feature Tomb Raider, The Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the three of which serve as a Lara Croft origin story. The trilogy will allegedly release on the 18th March, presumably on both Xbox and PS4.
The box set doesn’t appear to have any fancy upgrades for the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, so it looks like it’ll be the last-generation versions of the games.

The trilogy also comes with a complete DLC package featuring content from across all three games. This makes the collection a fantastic option for those who are new to the series, as it means the experience can be bought as one inclusive package. The deal is also likely to be vastly cheaper than purchasing each game and its content separately, so perhaps it’ll entice more than just the Tomb Raider newbies.
Tomb Raider’s reboot was created by Square Enix subsidiary Crystal Dynamics back in 2013. It’s something of a grand overhaul for our beloved Lara Croft. Gone are the PS1 run ‘n’ gun acrobatics of old, with the game instead focusing on a cinematic survival experience. Lara’s persona has also somewhat changed in the reboot, reflecting a more down-to-earth and vulnerable version of the spelunker.

The experience is vastly different from the action movie shenanigans of its predecessors, which featured a cocky and more experienced version of Croft.
Crystal Dynamics’ next Tomb Raiding adventure will apparently blend both the old games and the new into one experience. The claim was made by Community & Social Media Manager Neha Nair, who said that the next Tomb Raider adventure would “unify” the game’s timelines.
The series is also celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, with Square Enix promising much in the way of “nostalgic content”.

2021 is set to be an exciting year for Tomb Raider fans, so this leaked trilogy box set is likely just the start of celebrations yet to come.
