Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One is officially here and you can nab yourself some free bonus goodies thanks to Activision, Doritos and Mountain Dew.
Aside from being the perfect – albeit somewhat dusty – snack to accompany you as you check out all the new CoD content, Doritos will actually gift you some in-game treats to celebrate the day. Hooray!
Sharing the news on social media, all you need to do to get yourself involved is follow the official @Doritos Twitter account and tweet them with the hashtag “#DoritosDewDrop.” You’ll then be sent a code via Direct Message. Plugging the code into your game will unlock three exclusive item drops.
The items you’ll receive are Calling Card, Watch and Charm. Not too shabby for the low, low price of one tweet. However, not everyone has received their code.
Though many people are tweeting their praise at the initiative having received their loot, lots of gamers have been using the hashtag to query where their code is.
Doritos responded to the claims, writing: “We are receiving a ton of tweets right now and are working hard to get everyone their codes! Please hang in there as we work on catching up!”
At the time of writing it seems the promotion is still live, but you might have a bit of a wait if you’re trying to get a code. I feel sorry for the people running these social channels today…
