Ubisoft Reassures Beyond Good And Evil 2 Is Still In Development

Ubisoft reassures that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in development. Though fans have their doubts if it will ever be released.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 was first announced back at E3 2017. Four years have now passed, and we’re no closer to knowing when it might release. To be fair to Ubisoft, they have offered some updates and snippets of gameplay, but it’s been over two years since we last saw something substantial.

However, in a recent Ubisoft annual financial report, the publisher claims that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in development. Mentioned in the Q1 FY22 report, it stated that the “fan-favourite revival” is to be among Ubisoft’s biggest plans going forward.

Unfortunately, within the financial report, there was no mention as to when Beyond Good and Evil 2 might release. Not even so much as a yearly window. So, four years on, fans are still left hanging.

Elsewhere in the report, Ubisoft stated that they will prioritise plans for post-launch Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla content as the game enters year two. As well as focusing on the upcoming Far Cry 6, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Extraction, and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.

Ubisoft will also have an added emphasis on the free-to-play and mobile market. Specifically, Tom Clancy’s The Division Mobile, as well as F2P titles Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartlands, and Tom Clancy’s Defiant were all mentioned. The report also reveals that a new mobile game will be announced during Q4 2021-2022.
