Ubisoft officially announces Assassin’s Creed Mirage, confirming previous rumours, originally codenamed Assassin’s Creed Rift.
Ubisoft announced the news across its social media channels with a special upcoming event revealing all the juicy details. However, what do we know about Assassin’s Creed Mirage so far?
Here’s what we know about Assassin’s Creed Mirage
At this time, we can only go by previous rumours and speculation. From what we’ve heard, the game will feature Basim Ibn Ishaq from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as the main protagonist. It has also been claimed that the game will be set in Baghdad, Iraq.
Judging by the piece of concept art released by Ubisoft, it seems to have a southern west Asian theme. So, it looks like the rumours of a Baghdad setting could be true. Furthermore, rumours have also claimed that it will be a more linear experience and less open in comparison to recent entries the series.
When will Assassin’s Creed Mirage be released?
At this time, again, we can only go by speculation. Most recent rumours have claimed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release in early 2023.
When will Ubisoft’s event take place?
Further details on Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be revealed at an upcoming Ubisoft Forward event. It will premiere on Saturday, September 10th. You will be able to watch the show on Ubisoft’s official YouTube channel at 8pm UK /9pm CEST/12pm PT.
In our review of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we said: “It’s fun, it’s vast and it continues to give players the freedom to do pretty much whatever they want to do in the game.”
