Despite including two full games, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection won’t reward you with two platinum Trophies.
What makes this particularly strange is that the PlayStation 4 versions of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End as well as Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, can each reward you with a Platinum Trophy. However, for some reason, you can only earn one collectively with the Legacy of Thieves Collection.
One for the price of two
The Legacy of Thieves Collection will allow you to transfer all your progress from the PS4 versions over to the PS5 remasters. Furthermore, all Trophies will also cross over. Apart from the Platinum in question. Upon doing so, no doubt a lot of gamers would be listening out for that double Platinum ping when the transfer is complete.
What makes this exclusion even odder, is that to earn the Platinum Trophy for Uncharted 4, you’ll still need to unlock all Trophies in The Lost Legacy to earn the new Platinum.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves essentially treats The Lost Legacy as an expansion to Uncharted 4. Sure, The Lost Legacy was originally supposed to be an expansion, but the game became so large, Naughty Dog evolved it into its own standalone game. Complete with its own set of Trophies, including the Platinum.
Is it the end of the world?
We’re not sure why the Platinum Trophy was removed from Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, only Naughty Dog and Iron Galaxy will know. Sure, it’s not the end of the world, but I’m sure this will frustrate some enthusiastic Trophy hunters.
