The Uncharted movie which was supposed to release this year has now been delayed into 2022. The movie was originally scheduled to release at the end of 2020, before COVID-19 pushed it to 2021. It’s now been delayed yet again.
The Uncharted movie, which stars Tom Holland as a young Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan, was supposed to release in July this year.
In fact the Uncharted movie had already finished production, but with COVID-19 still causing havoc across the globe, delays are going to continue.
The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley spread the news of the Uncharted movie delay on his Twitter page, confirming that “The Uncharted movie has been pushed back from this July to February 11th, 2022.”
However the Uncharted movie isn’t the only production that’s recently been delayed. 007: No Time to Die which was supposed to release in cinemas this April has now been pushed back to October this year.
Additionally Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which was set to release June this year, has also now been pushed back five months to November later this year.
Earlier this month new images from the Uncharted movie were shared on Twitter, which makes this delay all the more bitter.
“A New Year. A New Adventure Awaits” said a tweet revealing the new images just this month. Well it really is a “new year” now.
However the world is what it is right now, and as they say “good things come to those that wait”. It’s not like we’ve been years already for this Uncharted movie adaptation…
