Until Dawn Could Be Getting A Remake Claims Industry Insider

Supermassive Games, developer of The Dark Pictures Anthology, could be remaking Until Dawn according to an industry leaker.

Until Dawn, also developed by Supermassive, was first released in 2015 and would be a blueprint of sorts for later titles from the studio. However, despite releasing in 2015 for PS4, Until Dawn still looks great.

Furthermore, Until Dawn is playable on PS5 and available via the PlayStation Plus Collection. Honestly, if you haven’t played this gem yet, I can’t recommend it enough. Especially if you’re a fan of Supermassive Games’ most recent titles.

However, on February 13th, Twitter profile AccountNGT claims to have been informed by sources that Supermassive Games has been working on the Until Dawn remake “for some time”.

AccountNGT clarified the claims of the remake a few days later by stating they’ve had: “this information since December, I have been careful as always to check if it is true or not. I’m not doing this for clout.

Additionally, as pointed out by TheGamer, AccountNGT correctly leaked the Star Wars Eclipse reveal trailer a week before its official announcement at The Game Awards in December. So, the leaker in question has got things right in the past. That being said, we must take all rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.

Does Until Dawn need a remake?

However, for me personally, I don’t believe Until Dawn is in need of a remake. At least, not yet.  Though we’d love to hear your thoughts.
