Ubisoft has announced that the online multiplayer mode for Watch Dogs: Legion has been delayed into 2021.
The multiplayer will see up to four players complete co-op missions together, or just cause havoc in the vast open city of London, England. The online mode for the newly-released Ubisoft title was a mode that many players have been looking forward to.

Initially the Watch Dogs: Legion online multiplayer mode was set to release next month across all platforms. Now Ubisoft has announced that it has been delayed, and will instead release “early 2021”.
The reason given for the delay of the multiplayer mode is so that the developers can focus on fixing the reported issues with the single player campaign.

“As part of our commitment to fixing the game’s issues, we’ve decided to delay the Online mode of Watch Dogs: Legion to early 2021,” said Ubisoft in a blog post.
“This will allow us to focus on fixing issues with single players, and it will give us more time to test the Online experience to help ensure a smooth launch of the mode.”
Many players have reported bugs and tech issues with the game across all the platforms it released on (we found a few in our review), and this is now the priority for Ubisoft.

“Since the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion, some of you continue to have technical issues preventing you from enjoying the game,
“The dev team is committed to fixing these issues and will not stop until everyone can experience the game as intended,” continued Ubisoft.
Releasing next week across all platforms will be update 2.20, which will fix reported bugs and improve stability, as well as adding a Save Game button to PC.

The developers also stated that they wish to further optimise the PC version of Watch Dogs: Legion to improve graphics, stability and reach a “consistent 60FPS for higher end GPUs.”
