Well it’s finally here. The trailer for Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie.
Images of the loveably blue hedgehog speed-demon in live-action form have been circulating the internet for a while now, and not everyone’s been impressed with what they’ve seen.

The trailer definitely is…erm…interesting?
Check it out for yourself below.
In the feature-length film Sonic sports a very human-like figure, oddly small eyes and some less-than-stylish sneakers. Honestly, he’s more than a little creepy.
The movie, due out in November, comes hot off the heels of the first ever live-action Pokemon movie, Detective Pikachu.
Detective Pikachu is now just a couple of weeks from release, and its own reveal of the 3D creatures was also met with mixed reception.

Despite the fact that the first Detective Pikachu movie hasn’t even been released yet, the sequel is apparently already in development.
Not just that though, as according to The Hollywood Reporter, Oren Uziel has been chosen to write the script. You may not know his name, but his work includes 22 Jump Street and The Cloverfield Paradox. He’s also worked on upcoming movies such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Men in Black International.
Ryan Reynolds will voice that sparky little bundle of joy and basically reinvent Deadpool in much cuter form. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom‘s Justice Smith will play Tim, Pikachu’s human partner who is trying to solve the mystery surrounding his father’s disappearance.

As for Sonic The Hedgehog, the movie stars Jim Carrey, James Marsden and Neal McDonough.
The official movie description reads: “A cop in the rural town of Green Hills will help Sonic escape from the government who is looking to capture him.”
Will you be checking out Sonic the Hedgehog this November, or do you think Paramount should have left the SEGA superstar well alone?
