According to a leak online, PUBG has been rated for release in Korea on the PlayStation 4.
The Game Rating and Administration Committee in Korea states the game application has been made and the project has been rated for release.
Although PUBG or Sony have yet to confirm the information, it’s safe to say yes – PUBG really is finally coming to the PlayStation.
The news isn’t too surprising as PUBG recently left Xbox Game Preview, and despite a few issues, it’s doing pretty well for itself.
GameByte recently reported that the Xbox One version of the incredibly popular battle royale game was going to be facing a temporary downgrade thanks to some inescapable (for some) frame-rate issues.
According to its official website, PUBG developers are actually having to reduce the game’s settings to get the title to run on the console, citing huge performance problems as the cause.
In a recent post on the site, the PUBG Xbox team confirmed: “We understand that many of our players on the Xbox One X are experiencing performance issues while playing the game, specifically frame-rate drops…
“We wanted to let our players know that we are aware of frame-rate issues on the Xbox One X, and that this is a top priority for us. We understand the frustration that this is causing and we will be deploying a hotfix on September 18 to implement some changes that will help with this issue.
“This hotfix will include toning down many of the graphical settings on the Xbox One X.”
It sounds like the team are also trying to cater to all different types of PUBG gamers, stating: “We are also working on a long term solution for Xbox One X that we intend on implementing in the future that will cater to two different audiences: those who prefer better graphics and those who prefer better performance and don’t mind sacrificing some graphical quality.
“We currently do not have many details to share, but will provide updates on this as soon as we’re able to.”
I wonder if the PlayStation 4 PUBG will experience anything similar?
