The Xbox Games With Gold titles for October have been released via Twitter. The announcement comes a little earlier than usual, but hey – we’re not complaining.
So what’s lined up for the spookiest month of the year?
Well, since we already revealed the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass next month, maybe we should go ahead and reveal next month’s Games With Gold titles too. You saw it here first (and I’ll post it on my blog soon) pic.twitter.com/jkhHUBv1FO

Surprisingly, nothing spooky.
Your Xbox One freebies for this month kick off with Overcooked and Victor Vran.
For the Xbox 360 you can nab yourself Hitman: Blood Money and Stuntman: Ignition.
Overcooked is definitely the pick of the bunch here (at least for me). Overcooked filled a much-needed urge for co-op party games in my life, and it’s playable with up to four people.
If you didn’t know, Overcooked has you preparing, cooking and serving meals in a series of increasingly-difficult levels that each provide their own infuriating obstacles. It’s a lot of fun, and you can watch the GameByte team struggle through it below.

Victor Vran is a highly-reviewed action role-playing game from Haemimont Games. It made its debut on Steam with its PlayStation and Xbox ports coming soon afterwards. You play as Victor Vran (unsurprisingly) and you’ll be fighting off a demon infestation. Fun!
The sequel to the original Stuntman, Stuntman: Ignition brings all the fun of the first, but really amped up. With several different single player modes and a multiplayer mode as well, this is one racing/action game that’s worth a look.
Finally we’ve got Hitman: Blood Money, which doesn’t really need much introduction. The title, originally released in 2006, is full of mission-based stories that’ll have you killing one or more targets.
So what do you think about October’s Xbox Games With Gold line-up? Personally I think they missed a trick going without horror titles, but maybe that’s because I’m a horror fan.
Hopefully PlayStation Plus will deliver the goods when it comes to spooky free games this All Hallows’ Eve…?
