Xbox wants to know if you’re ‘done’ with Halo Infinite

Xbox is eager to know if Halo Infinite is in fact, not infinite in terms of keeping player’s interest.

It was recently revealed that Xbox had sent out a survey to select players which included questions about the 2021 FPS, Halo Infinite. The news dropped courtesy of a screenshot shared by Rebs Gaming on Twitter.

Although the survey asks whether players feel 343 Industries “is listening and making changes to Halo Infinite based on community feedback”, the most straight-to-the-point question was “Are you done playing Halo Infinite?” This question was followed with the options of ‘yes’, ‘no’ and ‘maybe.’

New additions that could improve the game

Judging by these questions, it would appear as though Xbox are deciding what the future holds for the game. With issues at the game’s release, such as delays and lackluster battle passes, it perhaps comes as no surprise that the game is struggling to remain relevant in 2023.

However, it does seem as though the survey is a way of introducing new features to the game. For example, a later question asks what “traditional Halo multiplayer game modes” players would be interested in with Infection and Firefight amongst the options.

What does this mean for the future of the game?

The remaining questions focus on the team at 343 Industries and whether they can be trusted by players to “release dates and roadmaps for upcoming content” as well as if they considered the team to be “doing a good job communicating with the community.”

However, despite these more extensive questions, it would appear that the first and most important question as to people’s thoughts on the game as a whole would be the deciding vote. It remains to be seen what the outcome of this survey will be and if it means the end of Halo Infinite.
