Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has leaked online ahead of its July 29th release, and it’s playable on the Steam Deck.
There’s not long to go until Xenoblade Chronicles 3‘s release date on July 29th, but some have managed to get ahold of the game early and are sharing their spoilers all over the internet.
A playable ROM of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has also been discovered, which is playable on Valve’s handheld, Steam Deck.
YouTuber SomeOrdinaryGamers posted a photo on his Twitter page, showing the high-anticipated Nintendo game running on his Steam Deck only a few days ago.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a Nintendo Switch exclusive so I doubt we’d ever see it available officially on the PC. Regardless, it’s still interesting to see Nintendo software running on the Steam Deck.
While a ROM of the game is in circulation, official copies have been found on eBay weeks ahead of its official release date. Some selling for upwards of $100.
If you’re a big fan of the Xenoblade, I recommend muting keywords on social media to avoid having the newest game spoiled for you.
Nintendo Games Leaking Early Is All Too Common
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 isn’t the first Nintendo game to be leaked ahead of its official release date. In November 2021, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were also subjected to leaks ahead of their official release. Nintendo sent copyright strikes to anyone sharing footage on YouTube of the game early, at the time.
This came years after Nintendo took people to court in 2019, over leaks of its Pokemon Sword and Shield games. As reported by Forbes, Nintendo even hired forensic experts to find who was responsible. The case ended with the defendants having to pay approximately $150,000.
Nintendo doesn’t take to leaks kindly, so I wonder if a similar action will be taken against those posting about Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Fans even replied to YouTuber SomeOrdinaryGamers Twitter post to warn him about Nintendo’s strict stance on sharing leaked information about their games, tagging Nintendo’s official accounts in the process.
You can pre-order Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for £44.95 at the GameByte Shop.
