Fortnite has listened to the fans and added the ability to thank the bus driver in its latest update.
One player set up a Change.org petition to allow the chance to thank the bus driver for their services before jumping.
Kody Keddie, who started the petition, wrote: “Since I was just a boy I have always loved jumping out of the battle bus, but all this time I have felt something was missing.
“And that thing is the ability to thank the driver of the battle bus, he or she is truly a great person and they provide us a great service, I think it is time we can truly appreciate thair [sic] service, don’t you agree?”
And naturally, the page received a lot of very amusing comments from politeness-enthusiasts.
“I cannot sleep at night knowing that a bus driver is forced to drive that battle bus 24/7 without a single ‘thank you.’ We need this feature,” one petitioner commented.
Another added: “Amazing. Wonderful cause. I think the bus drivers of Fortnite deserve more respect.”
Well…it’s always nice to be nice?
Other updates in the game’s new patch include the new Rift-To-Go item, which Epic describes as “any player’s ace in the hole.”
You’ll now be able to bring a new dynamic into your games by creating a Rift for allies and for yourself.
Battle Royale will also get itself a new Limited Time Mode too, called Score Royale. Here’s you’ll be collecting points to nab yourself the Victory Royale, with the winner being the one with the biggest point tally.
The patch notes for the new LTM confirm: “Earn points by collecting coins, opening loot containers and eliminating other players. The first to cross the High Score threshold wins the Victory Royale!”
As for the mechanics of the new LTM, it seems that “early game Storm circles are larger and the Storms move in more slowly, giving players more time to spread out and search for loot.”
