You Can Now Get An AI To Teach You How To Not Suck At Overwatch

Blizzard’s Overwatch is still as popular now as it was when it first launched way back in May 2016, but if you’ve still not mastered the game then you can now get taught the best tips and tricks – from an AI.

An AI analytics service known as Visor is claiming to be able to turn you into the expert you always wanted to be, offering tips and stats to help you learn as you play.

Visor’s website boasts: “Whether you are a new player or a seasoned veteran, we all come from the same place.

“We remember the late nights grinding Starcraft until 3am, and the excitement of fulfilling our virtual destinies together.

“Visor’s real-time feedback and in-game insights are all about helping you make the most out of those moments, from simple things like winning your first build off on Fortnite all the way to parrying 15 consecutive hits of Chun-Li’s Senretsukyaku.”

For Overwatch, Visor will check over every millisecond of play and will use over 150,000 data points to tell you how to improve and hone your skills.

Some of Visor’s alerts include how to adjust your play style based on others in the match, which parties are struggling the most and might require defence, death tolls, and Ult use.

The AI will also show you how much damage you’re receiving or inflicting on a minute-by-minute basis, and breaks down how quickly your player is dying.

Visor will also offer practical advice, such as when to unleash certain weapons and attacks and when to target other players.

The site’s blog states: “For the first time, gamers can now get powerful in-game insights and instant performance feedback while they play.

“Visor uses an intuitive combination of overlays, visual alerts, and audio cues to surface actionable information at exactly the right time so players can improve dynamically — without ever leaving the game.

“Having this level of insight means that gamers can adjust, learn and improve during a match, before it even ends. Visor helps gamers of every skill level understand and take control of their gameplay so they can have more fun playing, whether they win or lose.”

If you’re keen to test-drive Visor and see how it improves your play, you can check it out here.

Right now the service is in its beta phase, and it’s only available for PC at the moment.
