Yes, rule 34 interpretations of characters of games like LoL obviously already exist, but it’s no surprise that eventually, full-fledged, adult-themed esports-ready games would pop up. Yes that was a bad pun, and yes there will be more of them. Consider yourself warned.
‘Adult entertainment’ site YouPorn is set to sponsor an adult esports competition. Specifically, one held by Nutaku. If you’re going to pretend that you don’t know what that is, sure, we’ll play along. They are a pretty big provider of adult games, free, paid, browser-based, mobile, dowloadable… all kinds.
We’ll give you a moment to not look at their website. Moving on – Nutaku is hosting an esports tournament for one of their adult games – T’n’T. The second T is for tanks. You can guess yourself what the first is for. One hint: It’s not Tutus.
The game is a mobile one, essentially a spoof of World of Tanks, though the creators call it a mature take on the topic. “TnT is definitely one of our most coveted titles,” said Nutaku product manager Ben Faccio. “Think of it as World of Tanks but with fully uncensored anime action integrated into the gameplay. We’re confident TnT will bring in a trove of lewd gamers and take the world of eSports to the next level.”
Faccio – we leave it up to you to figure out how to pronounce that – mentioned that YouPorn is the perfect sponsor for this event. He’s probably not wrong. Twitch certainly wouldn’t do. The prizes for the winners reflect the theme of it all as well – while the winner gets a cash prize, every competitor gets a free 12-month YouPorn premium subscription.
There will be 64 competitors in total, meaning that the individual prizes won’t break the bank – although the number one prize is pretty impressive. A whopping $25.000 will go to the winner. That’s pretty impressive given what this is – while it may not compare to the big DOTA 2 or even CSGO tournaments, this is the first time something at this scale is taking place.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of Nutaku’s expansion into esports and to sponsor the first-ever adult esports tournament,” said YouPorn vice president Charlie Hughes. “YouPorn has been involved in esports for years with our very own Team YP, and it has added a new level of diversity and community to our platform that we’re excited to introduce to Nutaku.”
Statement aside, between Hughes and Faccio, we’re beginning to think that having a punny name might be a requirement to work in this sector. It’s not actually Hughes’ (or rather YouPorn’s) first attempt at sponsoring an esports event. They previously backed Team YP, a pro-Overwatch and Street Fighter outfit.
They were eventually sort of bullied away by the ESL that didn’t want the association with the mature services that YouPorn offers. In fact, some other teams and organisers even tried to keep Team YP from competing altogether. Regardless, this time the sponsorship is more than welcomed by the hosts and organisation behind the whole deal.
As for the game that will be played – this is the official description of it: Prepare for a next generation mobile game that features fast-paced PVP tank warfare with real-time players, sexy militants, exceptional HD graphics, and highly customizable game elements. Interact with your friends and military hotties on the go!
The game is available for Android (sorry iPhone users, you’ll have to make do with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s tanks instead.) TnT has less to do with Mobile Strike than it does with World of Tanks but you’ll have to forgive the pun. The game isn’t available through the store of course, but can be downloaded from Nuntaku’s website.
