Get ready for a literal game-changer, as it’s been revealed that we’ve been playing UNO wrong for our whole lives.
If you’ve ever played UNO and manage to keep your friendships and relationships in tact then I applaud you, because I played it the other day and I was ready to throw the biggest tantrum ever after losing five games in a row. As you can imagine, the UNO cards are now firmly in their box and will remain there until I can get over my bruised ego.
Over the weekend, UNO decided to drop the ultimate bombshell that we’ve actually been playing the game wrong this whole time, and they revealed the shock news in a tweet. The tweet read: “If someone puts down a +4 card, you must draw 4 and your turn is skipped. You can’t put down a +2 to make the next person Draw 6. We know you’ve tried it. #UNO”
Wow, I am shook. Although, I’m taking it that it means the whole time I was playing the other day and lost, it’s because they were actually cheating – which makes me a secret winner. I don’t know if you can tell from just reading this, but I am a pretty sore loser when it comes to card games, or board games in general.

However as you can imagine, many people weren’t having ANY of this brand new information, and decided to let the people at UNO know that the revelation would not be affecting their gameplay anytime soon.
My deck, my rules…someone’s eating this +24

UNO’s Twitter also revealed that you can’t just keep on stacking up more +2’s or +4’s on top of others, so once you place the card down once that’s it, there’s no doubling the situation at all. Rubbish if you ask me, but then at least this stops games going on for hours and hours.

It’s a farce, I tell you.
