Zoë Kravitz Watched Lots Of Cat Videos To Prepare For Catwoman Role

The Batman star Zoë Kravitz revealed that she watched a lot of cat videos to prepare for her role as Catwoman in the upcoming film.

In a roundtable interview GameByte attended, Kravitz was asked about the preparations she made to play Catwoman.

It’s rare to have a character who’s physicality is equally important as anything else they’ll do,” she responded when asked about the training she did for the role. “We had an incredible stunt co-ordinator, Rob Alonzo, who was interested in who these people were, and where they were emotionally. He found really interesting ways to infuse that into the stunt choreography.

I did watch a lot of cat videos too, a lot of feline videos. I loved the mystery behind the way they moved, and wanted to bring that elegance and confidence to the character.

It’s an aspect of the internet I’m sure we can all relate to. Cats are amazing, and there’s an endless hole of videos online that you can get lost in. Having to watch them as part of your job sounds like an amazing step up though.

The Batman releases in cinemas tomorrow, March 4th. It stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Paul Dano and Colin Farrell. It’s currently reviewing well, sitting at 86% recommended ratings by critics based on over 200 reviews.
