While Ark 2 isn’t planned for a release until sometime in 2023, you can download Ark: Survival Evolved for free right now.
Ark 2 was announced back at The Game Awards in 2020, which for some reason is set to star Vin Diesel. But of course, not everyone has played the first game. So if Diesel’s presence in the sequel has piqued your interest, you should download Ark: Survival Evolved for free, and here’s how you can do so.
Announced on the game’s official Twitter, all you need to do is head to the game’s official Steam page, and add it to your library. The game normally costs £23.79, but until June 19, it’s available for the delicious price of £0.00. This isn’t just a free week kind of deal either.
what about the dlc?
Once you add the game to your account, it’s yours to own forever. So even if it isn’t the kind of game you feel like playing right now, it’s worth it just because it’s an incredibly good deal. Not only that, the Ark: Ultimate Survivor Upgrade is on deal at the moment as well.
The bundle comes with a big range of DLC, with multiple expansions and soundtracks. Normally the bundle costs £45.36, but at 34%, you can grab it for £29.89. So if you did feel like spending a bit of money on the game, you can essentially get the whole package for a surprisingly low price.
If you aren’t familiar with Ark, you start off on a mysterious island, where you have to hunt and harvest resources. Essentially, it’s a big, online survival game that also has dinosaurs that you can face off against. Or you can try to tame them to help build your settlement.
Details are currently slim on Ark 2. But at least we now know it’s set to arrive sometime in 2023. As it was confirmed in the recent trailer shown off at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.
