Is Babylon's Fall already doomed?

Babylon’s Fall Is Reviewing Really Poorly By Critics And Users

Babylon’s Fall is reviewing poorly by critics on websites such as Metacritic and OpenCritic. The user reviews don’t look great either.

Babylon’s Fall, developed by PlatinumGames released last week for PC and PS5, as well as for the PS4. However, its concurrent online player numbers made for poor reading at launch. Which would surely not please the executives at Square Enix.

Numbers are small on Steam

In our article last week, SteamDB revealed that Babylon’s Fall on Steam achieved just over 1,000 concurrent players. Returning to SteamDB today, it seems that not much has improved on PC.

Unfortunately, things now look even worse for PlatinumGames and Square Enix. As of right now, Babylon’s Fall has a critical score of 41 and only 2.4 for PS5 on Metacritic.

At the time of writing, there are currently no critical reviews for Babylon’s Fall on Metacritic for PC and PS4. However, the user review scores currently sit at a lowly 1.0 and 2.0, respectively.

Will things improve?

Furthermore, on OpenCritic it’s not getting any better either. The overall OpenCritic rating is “Weak” with an average critic score of 46 and only 15% of critics recommending the game. Ouch!
