It’s believed that the one and only Giancarlo Esposito, best known for his roles in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and The Mandalorian, is set to made his video game debut in Far Cry 6.

The as-of-yet unconfirmed rumour originated from an interview with Collider, during which Esposito said he’d been working on a “huge” video game, dependent on a “new style of acting.”
“This video game I did – which is going to be huge – [but I] can’t really mention it,” Esposito said.

Though he didn’t name any names, the internet took the news and ran with it, trying to figure out just which game might be getting Gus Fring. According to a now-removed article by GameReactor [via VGC], it’s none other than Far Cry 6.
It’s not all too clear what’s going on here, but it’s hoped that we won’t have long to wait to figure it out.

Far Cry 6 has yet to be announced by Ubisoft, but rumour on the street says its reveal could be coming as soon as this month.
We first heard about Far Cry 6 back in February, when industry insider and known leaker, Jason Schreier, claimed the game was in the works. Back before the reveal of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft’s earnings call revealed the company would be launching five AAA games between April 2020 and March 2021.
Commenting on the news, Schreier tweeted the following: “Anyone holding out hope for Splinter Cell is, once again, going to be disappointed. Sorry! (It’s AC and Far Cry.)”
Considering that one of the games definitely was Assassin’s Creed, it seems likely that Schreier is correct about the second unknown game being a new addition to the Far Cry series. (Also, y’know, it’s Jason Schreier, who is pretty much never wrong about anything when it comes to video games).
Here’s hoping we not only get a Far Cry 6 revel soon, but that it’ll also feature Giancarlo Esposito!
