Actors Troy Baker and Nolan North have been working hard over the last few years with their YouTube channel, Retro Replay. The duo, who’ve together appeared in everything from The Last of Us to Uncharted 4, are now set to embark on a brand-new adventure, and they’ll be inviting some friends along for the road.
As announced on the Retro Replay social channels, Troy will be taking over the controller and playing through the 2013 classic in which he starred, The Last of Us, inviting some members of the cast to play along too. Hooray!
Unfortunately we don’t know yet which cast members will be joining, but we already have Joel (Troy Baker) and David (Nolan North). Here’s hoping we get Ellie actor, Ashley Johnson!
Troy and Nolan have already tackled Uncharted 1 and 2 and it’s going to be incredibly exciting to hear all the behind-the-scenes stories and gossip from the set.
We’ve already been treated to a lot of insider knowledge thanks to Retro Replay. During the opening cinematic of Nolan’s first playthrough of Uncharted 2, he decided to share a little behind-the-scenes info about the cutscene and a certain Mr. J.J Abrams.
Troy (quite rightly) said the game has “the best beginning to a video game ever,” to which Nolan replied: “By the way. Not just your opinion [but also] the opinion of one JJ Abrams.”
He continued: “When I got to meet him and work with him he did say that he thought the opening of Uncharted 2 was the best opening of anything cinematic – TV, film, game – that he’s ever seen. And I remember doing this because they literally put me in a chair and then two guys tilted me back. We mo-capped it [at an angle].”
If you haven’t yet subscribed to Retro Replay you can do so right here! The first The Last of Us Definitive Playthrough with the gang will be live tomorrow (Tuesday 19).
