Detroit Studio’s Star Wars Game Has New Details Leak

Industry insider Jeff Grubb has leaked alleged details from the upcoming Star Wars game from Heavy Rain developer, Quantic Dream.

Back in September this year, it was rumoured that the Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human studio is working on a new Star Wars game. However, we now have some added details on the alleged title.

Earlier this year, Electronic Arts lost the exclusive rights to the Star Wars video game license. As a result, studios such as Ubisoft and more are now able to develop adaptations using the ever-popular IP.

As reported by Game Rant, Jeff Grubb of VentureBeat was talking during an episode of his Giant Bomb podcast. According to Grubb, the game in question is called Star Wars Eclipse, it’s “ready to be announced soon” and it’s likely to happen “before the end of the year.” It could be a safe assumption that the announcement might be made during The Game Awards next month.

Furthermore, while details are not concrete, Grubb also believes that Star Wars Eclipse will take place during the High Republic era, roughly 200 years before the events of the original movie trilogy. Additionally, according to Game Rant, Star Wars Eclipse has been in development for about 18 months. So, if that is true, perhaps the game is ready to be revealed soon? Only time will tell.

As always, until proven otherwise, we must take all rumours, leaks, and speculation with a pinch of salt. That being said, do you believe that the Star Wars game from Quantic Dream will be announced next month? Let us know across our social media channels.
